i found these sweet mailboxes at target a while back and bought one for each of the kids.  i got my inspiration for decorating them at emily giovanni's blog.  she's incredible!  i put some candy in each one and a little love note to each kid and gave them as a valentine's day gift.  i plan to reuse these each year and add a new love note.  then by the time they are teenagers (and hate me) they'll have a box full of love!

we had a good valentine's day, hope you all did as well.  i bought some big yummy cookies from a local bakery, which the kids devoured.

my dear mother has had the three older kids since saturday!! so jason and i went on a date.  we ate at a new mongolian restaurant in rochester that was pretty good.  then we went to best-buy and bought a movie, stopped at baker's square and bought a french silk pie and went home and gorged ourselves.  it was lovely.  we also went to gymboree (love) and bought a few things for the kiddos.  i am tired today.  too much sleep i guess (is that possible?) i have a big test this week and two next week. yucko!  poor little josie needs her second flu shot today.
